This tree lives on the hill on the property that I grew up on. As the seasons change, so does the colour of its bark and as it grows the bark peels off creating wonderful shapes and shadows on the trunk. I particularly like the idea of drawing directly onto the timber and allowing the grain of the wood to add depth to the drawings.
